I've seen the inside of a rattlesnake and I must say it's pretty accurate. If I see a bear I run as fast as I can especially if I can outrun whomever I'm with. If I see a mountain lion or wolf I make as much noise as I can, be the aggressor not the retreater. I saw the biggest wolf of my life sneaking up on some sheep, it was dark red and shedding, I've also seen a grey wolf which aren't native to our area but they keep bringing them in until they over populate our area and then have a free to shoot policy, I don't get it. Just quit bringing them in and give out more tags for deer elk and moose, sounds simple to me.

He’s never caught a 21 foot anaconda. The longest anaconda ever recorded was 17 feet long. He’s either lying, or talking about Reticulated pythons and not anacondas.

Sure, If you look at 'Jaws' as far as the realism, it's laughable. But it's A MOVIE about what essentially is a fish that is a serial killer.
It's not a documentary on Shark Week.

To all of you experts:
Yes he said beagle,
People make mistakes, especially when literally in the spotlight.
Not a single one of you could retain this much info off the top of your heads unless you were actual experts
Therefore, you are no experts

I can relate to the wolf eye contact thing. Was wearing aviators and a large husky saw itself in my glasses staring at itself, it went nuts immediately. Eyes went all narrow and it went for me. Owner managed to hold it back though. Bit too much wolf in some of them, no warning…

I feel like the production crew of Anaconda wanted to make a movie about a reticulated python which are more nimble & longer than anacondas and unlike the anaconda are agressive and caused several (about 10 verified and tons of unverified) human fatalaties, including consuming some people, but "anaconda" sounds cooler than "reticulated python" on a movie card so they went with anaconda, might also be the mystique of the amazon. I find it hilarious they used Frank Welker (scooby doo) basically doing a metal pig squeal as the voice of the snake.

Alligators don't hunt people? Tell that 2 the folks who live in Florida and have been attacked in their own backyard pools! Also I don't believe for a second that a shark wouldn't attack a person. Again these animals are instinctive and also opportunistic so yeah that's why they're called wild animals! Also he's never seen Jaws before? This guy looks like he's in his late 30s. What has he been living under a rock? Next he will say that Avaretar is James Cameron's best movie! I guess he never saw The Terminator or Aliens before either!🙄

Coulda swore constrictors kill not through asphyxiation ( which can take minutes to kill giving the prey a large window to injure /escape) but through cardiac arrest. The force exerted on the prey is so intense that blood flow becomes impossible and the heart stops, killing the prey in a much shorter time.

I could be wrong however…

"If you look into it, there have only been like 3 instances of wolves killing people in human history"… Um… I know of two that happened within the last 20 years. One in Saksatchewan, and one in Alaska. If you want me to believe that two deaths happened in the relatively same part of the world since 2005, but there was only one more in the rest of human history, you must think I'm dumber than I look…

In the first minute this guy misidentifies a basset hound as a beagle and calls a North American river otter an Asian small clawed otter multiple times……… at least he knows his snakes

Reply
User

Opana Banana

If he'd caught that many Anacondas, it's surprising to know he doesn't know half of the species. There are FOUR recognized species, NOT two

Reply
User

Mattias Nordstrom

When he said "3 fatal wolf attacks in history" he lost all credability for me. A quick google search and a look on wikipedia will show you 5 examples in north america alone in modern times. 5 examples mind you. That doesn't mean every event is recorded or mentioned. And there's also tons of wolves in other places than in north america. There is even an example of över 600 people being killed in ONE year by wolves in india. 3 fatal attacks in history? Really?

Idk. He called the basset a beagle and alpha wolf theory has been disavowed. I agree with the gist of what he’s saying but this seems like a fluff piece. I’d rather a more prepared analysis of the behavior in the clips

Great video. But shhhhh. You don’t sass the jaws. It’s called suspension of disbelief. And what happened in this mans life where he’s never seen jaws. As a cinema expert I think he’s sorely missing out

Reply

Really loved this, was informative and fun but you messed up on The Shallows. The shark in the movie is a great white. Also there are documented cases of whites hitting surfers while they are riding a wave. There is both photo evidence of these fish cruising in the waves while a surfer is on the curl and there is even one incredibly dramatic video of two whites attacking the same surfer as he rides the wave. Watch that one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkFdDVkxGuU
