WHAT HAPPENED to these MINECRAFT VILLAGES?
By Micah Moen
Minecraft villages. Released with beta version 1.8, villages very quickly became a staple of Minecraft’s history. Villagers were the first non-playable character that you could properly interact with. and no, shearing a sheep doesn’t count as an interaction, guys. Villagers themselves have always been pretty weird, and paramount to that weirdness is where these villages are ultimately placed sometimes. Now I know that these villages are just segments of code that sometimes occur in slightly unconventional places. But I’d like to believe for a moment that a real minecraft villager actually looked at the top of that mountain and thought, (hardcore voice) “Challenge Accepted” And today, we’re going to check out a few examples of Minecraft villages that do just that, in modern versions of Minecraft Java. And all of the villages on this list will be at or within a couple hundred blocks of the spawn or so. So let’s go ahead and let’s get right into it. [cool music] all right, you know what? I’m not saving the best for last. First up is the most broken village that I have ever seen in a non amplified Minecraft map. Originally sent to me by vululien on twitter, this single submission inspired this entire video. So what we have here is the perfect storm of villages. Because savannah biomes can so quickly morph into massive savannah mountains, the possibility for savannah villages to spawn and overlap them is always there. And if we look at the location of the water well in this village, which is where all villages ultimately start in the code, we can see it lies about five blocks from the edge of the mountain biome. While the first 10 or so buildings lay on the flat side of the biome, four buildings and three gardens are completely affected by this massive shift in terrain, which is more then any other on this list. If we go through this narrow gap within the mountain we can also see the walking path that was misplaced from the buildings above. At least with this village you won’t have to worry about running out of acacia wood for a long time. Oh, and did I mention that there’s another village right nearby within viewing distance? and then there’s also a desert pyramid? with a notch apple in it? Geez. I feel like I could make a video about just this one seed. Anyways, let’s move on. So I could go on all day about various minecraft villages that are broken up in similar ways to items that were on the list right before them. right before them kind of like what you see here but when I was researching for this video I decided that I wanted villages that are broken up in distinctly different ways so number two to my knowledge is an ultra rare sight and can you see it yet can you see what’s wrong with this village yeah that’s a desert temple merged with in the village house a village house that as a result of this temple and at least minecraft 1.11 has no door and no way for the villagers to get out however the desert temple within appears to be completely undamaged which suggests to me that desert temple spawn after villages within the game’s code as an added bonus to some of the buildings within this village are in fairly derpy positions as well though nothing like the first item on this list so number three or four if you count that second savannah village the final item on this list is broken up in a completely different way than the first two items and in my opinion this type of broken village is one that most of you have probably seen at one point or another but I looked around for quite a while for seeds that still work in Minecraft version 1.11 and this was one of the best villages that I saw that gets messed up by a ravine however I was really looking for a village that had an entire building sunken into a ravine but it seems like the vast majority of incredibly broken villages reside within minecraft pocket edition or older versions of Minecraft Java where the terrain no longer spawns the same that way today so yeah I know that there weren’t that many items on this list but I felt that showcasing different types of broken was better than just shoveling five only sort of broken and only sort of different seeds in your face and throwing a video out about it so let me know what you thought of this video and the content in the comment section down below and if you guys enjoyed this video please leave a like on it because it would really help out myself the channel and the video quite a lot but anyways guys I hope you all enjoyed my name is Antvenom and I bid you all farewell thanks so much for watching.
