Explore Puerto Rico: Cultural Delights in Old San Juan
By Micah Moen
Walking through the streets of Old San Juan is enchanting. I feel like I’m back in time. The roads are cobblestone, everything is so colorful and vibrant, and the architecture is amazing. I’m a little bit obsessed. So I’m here at La Bombonera and I’m going to try a Mallorca and a café con leche. We have egg, ham, and cheese covered in powdered sugar. It’s sweet, it’s savory, and I want to devour the whole thing. When I think of Puerto Rico, this is what I think of. El Castillo San Felipe del Morro is larger than life. This is so pretty. The view that you get, it just makes it seem like the rest of the world is an ocean and it’s just El Morro in the middle. Puerto Rico is such a beautiful island and the history is beautiful too. And being here in El Morro really lets you experience that history. You have to come here and when you come to Puerto Rico.
